Read capacity in context
Catalogue duty applies to stated fluids, temperatures and flow rates. Use a common data sheet when comparing quotations.
Review both pressure losses
Specify allowable pressure drop on each circuit alongside materials, plate geometry and connections. Do not compare plate count alone.
Keep pressure and temperature together
The checked Kelvion GBH overview lists 45 bar without a temperature envelope. Do not combine it with temperatures from an older table. Check the exact model and both circuits against its pressure–temperature documentation.
Prepare for the discussion
- Fluids, composition and relevant material requirements
- Flow rates and inlet/outlet temperatures on both circuits
- Design conditions and allowable pressure drop on each side
- Exact model, nameplate and current technical documents
