Create an equipment record
Store the nameplate, technical sheet, connection drawing and service documents together. Record work performed and parts replaced as well as the date.
Record operating conditions
State the load at which readings were taken. Readings from different conditions do not necessarily form a meaningful trend.
Support the next review
Record recurring symptoms, temporary measures and plant changes. Maintenance intervals depend on equipment instructions and operating evidence, not a universal schedule.
Prepare for the discussion
- Fluids, composition and relevant material requirements
- Flow rates and inlet/outlet temperatures on both circuits
- Design conditions and allowable pressure drop on each side
- Exact model, nameplate and current technical documents
