Describe both circuits
List fluid composition, concentration, flow rate and inlet/outlet temperatures separately for each side. Distinguish measured values from targets and identify missing data.
Include operating scenarios
Describe start-up, seasonal conditions, part load and planned capacity changes. Specify pressure losses, connections and layout constraints.
Identify existing equipment
Provide the nameplate, model, serial number, drawings and service history. Where relevant, include pH, chloride and free chlorine separately, viscosity at a stated temperature, solids, fibres and particle size. Production and cleaning fluids need separate descriptions.
Prepare for the discussion
- Fluids, composition and relevant material requirements
- Flow rates and inlet/outlet temperatures on both circuits
- Design conditions and allowable pressure drop on each side
- Exact model, nameplate and current technical documents
