Our FreeFlow heat exchangers are designed for media containing fibers and particles. They offer lower operating costs than shell-and-tube and spiral heat exchangers and handle viscous or fouling media that are unsuitable for conventional plate heat exchangers. Parallel flow channels, wide plate gaps and a simple plate pattern minimize clogging and can eliminate the need for filtration in some duties. Channel gaps from 6 mm to 12 mm are available according to the fluid and flow rate.

Aggressive and corrosive fluids can shorten the service life of standard gasketed plate heat exchangers. Kelvion PHE addresses this challenge with state-of-the-art technology. Our LWC heat exchangers use laser-welded plate cassettes to provide safe heat transfer for aggressive media. N Series plate technology is also used in the LWC range, with modern design and manufacturing methods. The flow channels remain completely separated, enabling heat transfer with many aggressive fluids.

The fluid is distributed homogeneously on the plate surface thanks to the optimized heat exchanger plate pattern. Thus, high heat transfer coefficients are achieved in the plate heat exchanger.

The PosLoc system keeps the plate pack correctly aligned, reducing the risk of damage to plates and gaskets during maintenance and cleaning and helping extend their service life.

EcoLoc

Thanks to the EcoLoc system used in our plate heat exchangers, which does not require adhesives, heat exchanger gaskets can be replaced easily and quickly. This provides an advantage in operating costs.
